May 2013 - We've got lots of photos from our recent ceili and performance season posted on the Lincoln Irish Dancers Facebook page. Pay us a visit and have a look at our albums!
“Failte” (“Welcome”) from the Lincoln Irish Dancers! Our mission is “to heighten awareness and appreciation of traditional Irish dance, and to celebrate Irish culture” here in Lincoln, Nebraska and surrounding areas.
Our group began performing in March of 1997. Now we perform locally and regionally several times each year, sponsor a public ceili, dance classes, concerts, workshops, and our own social events.

We originated as a ceili (KAY-lee) dance group, but also include other styles of Irish dancing. Ceili dancing is group social dancing, reminiscent of the folk dancing enjoyed over the years in Ireland. We enjoy performing publicly, and just dancing together for the fun of it! We love having the public join us in simple dances as well.
Lincoln Irish Dancers (often abbreviated "LID") comprise people of all ages and backgrounds. Take a look around our site for more information, and be sure to contact us if you have any questions about our organization.
We'd like to thank the following businesses who donated to our raffle at this year's March 10 ceili:
- Wild Bird Habitat Store - Alamo Plaza, 56th and Highway 2
- Duggan's Pub/grill - Downtown Lincoln, 440 So. 11th St.
- Clancy's Pub/grill - 72nd and Pacific in Omaha
- Luckies Lounge/grill - West: 1101 West Bond Street; East - 5250 Cornhusker Hwy
